Asset OgilvyEntertainment secures Formula 1 free-to-air rights deal with Alpha TV in Greece for 2014

Asset OgilvyEntertainment brokered a non-exclusive rights deal in Greece for the upcoming season of the Formula One motor racing series, which “returns” to commercial broadcaster Alpha TV after the 2010-2012 seasons.

The deal with Alpha TV complements the existing contract between the sports marketing agency and Greek Pay TV broadcaster OTE TV, hence safeguarding maximum national coverage of Formula One races for another season in Greece.

Terms of the new deal encompass Alpha TV’s live coverage of every round, except four early morning races, plus pre-race show and highlights of qualifying sessions.

Asset OgilvyEntertainment is handling the F1 rights in the territories of Greece (since 2010), Albania & FYROM (since 2012), along with Turkish Euroleague Basketball and Spanish La Liga & Copa del Rey properties in Greece and Cyprus.
