COSMOTE TV in Greece and PRIMETEL in Cyprus will continue as exclusive broadcasting partners of LaLiga following recent agreements with Asset OgilvyEntertainment.

Under the renewed agreement, both broadcasters will offer full action of the 10 LaLiga games per matchday, alongside the related magazine programs. Clip rights are also included in the package, an addition to the previous cycle.

Asset OgilvyEntertainment agreed with ERT, the Greek public broadcaster, for the free-to-air transmission of the Copa del Rey games up to the semi-finals, for the current and following season.

The deal includes the broadcast of 22 games per season in total, six games for each Round of 32, 16 and 8 and all four semi-final games.

With this agreement, Spanish football gains significant exposure in the market since it is the only football club competition, apart from the Champions League, that enjoy Live transmission in Free TV in Greece.

Asset OgilvyEntertainment agreed with ERT, the Greek public broadcaster, for the free-to-air coverage of the F1 Championship for the following three years, up to the 2018 season.

The non-exclusive rights deal with ERT, which had also acquired the F1 broadcasting rights for the 2013 season, succeeds a two-year F1 broadcast cycle by Alpha TV, to ensure maximum national coverage. The rights package includes live broadcast of all races except four early morning GPs, pre-race shows and qualifying highlights.

The media rights to the Spanish Liga have been awarded to broadcasters in a series of countries around the world, with Asset OgilvyEntertainment retaining the rights for Greece and Cyprus and is set to announce deals with broadcasters within the next few weeks.

In the 2012-15 cycle, the agency is understood to have paid close to €9 million in total for the rights, selling them on to OTE TV, the IPTV pay-TV service operated by the Greek telecoms company of the same name and to Primetel in Cyprus.

Asset OgilvyEntertainment has extended the present rights deal with Greek Pay-TV broadcaster OTE TV for the Formula One motor-racing world championship for two additional years, until 2017.

OTE TV will continue airing every race, practice and qualifying session, live, on their OTE SPORT channels and their recently launched OTE TV GO service, available to subscribers on smartphones and tablets.
